WATERFOWL AND AQUATIC BIRDS AS PHOTOGRAPHED BY GERARD PAS |
Waterfowl are birds that swim and are often simply referred to as ducks or geese. Ducks come in a myriad of different species which either dabble or dive for food. Geese are equally as diverse a species that also swim; they both dabble, or graze for food. Aquatic birds can wade, swim or dive for food. We have included birds such as Kingfishers, Rails and Bitterns in the aquatic bird category as they are birds that spend their lives living by the water’s edge hunting for food. |
