This thumbnail Gallery gives a quick tour of the exhibition "hEaVEN n eARTh" by Gerard Pas at The London Regional Art and Historical Museum (LRAHM), London Canada, April 1 - May 20, 2001.
Here you can see the actual works installed in the gallery as presented to the public during the exhibition in London. This is the first time that Gerard has installed these complete bodies of work in an exhibition and London is the premiere exhibition for these works. Though some of the works may have been exhibited individually in group exhibitions in New York City or abroad, this is the first time they have been seen as a whole. This exhibition represents three bodies of work. The first period being works produced during a period of depression and melancholy, "Sisyphus' Descendants (1993-1996) and Phaethon's Faux Pas (1996-98)". The second period of work is "The Saints (1998-99)" which is an attempt to convey that pain and consternation have true meaning as they help us to realize the full capacity of our humanity. The third period and last is "Tongues of Fire (1999-2001)" which is a celebration of light and hope.
What you see below is the actual exhibition "hEaVEN n eARTh" by Gerard Pas.
