"This
work was undoubtedly created during one of the darkest periods of my
Life! Out of money, out of luck and what seemed like, out of hope. I
couldn't find the motivation to keep on going on and looked to Socrates
solution, to be a good one: pass the mug of hemlock. Then remembering
that my life was not just my own and belonged also to those I loved
and loved me back - I'd keep up the good fight. Art is indeed a catharsis,
as I could spend my time making this work, which I believe together
with the title says everything I need to say about it for itself."

that darkest hour
is the one before the break of daylight when that light comes streaming in the darkness fades away we can speak of truth if we have experienced it and it is in knowing both the light and the dark, pain or joy, wealth or poverty, sickness or health, that we become fully and totally humans |
