These images depict the Canadian Veterans Memorial in Victoria Park, London, Canada, as taken by Gerard Pas its designer. They convey the memorial at different times of the seasons and as the year’s progress. It is Gerard’s intention to add to these images as various situations arise throughout the years, be that the change of season, its aging, differing photographic opportunities and events, such as November 11th. Consider these photographs as postcards from the park, the Liberation Sculpture and Memorial Carillon, which resides there next to the Cenotaph, Veterans Gardens and on the corner of Dufferin and Wellington, across from London’s City Hall.

This memorial was given as a gift from the Dutch Community as an expression of thanks to Canada and its Armed Forces, for their role in the liberation of Holland and Belgium during World War II. It was presented to the World War 2 Veterans and the City of London on September 22, 2006.
The memorial carillon was erected in Victoria Park, adjacent to the Veterans' Garden and Cenotaph. It is linked to a granite monument showing the locations of Canadian Forces cemeteries in Holland and Belgium where 6700 Canadian WW2 graves are located.
